You can help improve logistics standards and quality management of logistics chains into and out of Tasmania by becoming a member of the Tasmanian Freight Logistics Council.
The Council is a public company limited by guarantee, which means that each member guarantees the debts of the company to a maximum amount (in this case one dollar).
Membership is open to all businesses and individuals interested/involved in Tasmanian freight activities (ie shippers and service providers as well as others). The Council’s Board is drawn from members representing this Tasmanian freight community.
An annual membership fee, reviewed by the board each year, is applicable. The current fee for 2007-08 is $110 (including GST). |
Members enjoy a wide range of benefits including:
- access to expert advice on improvements to, or changes within the freight industry;
- information about emerging logistics technologies and systems;
- links to an established network within the freight industry nationally;
- an ability to initiate company-specific projects through the Council in relation
to freight issues; and
- membership of an organisation working with the Federal and State governments, and their agencies.
